TEST RESULTS
The semi-quantitative test results for viral antigens or for antibodies are available through:
1) instrument display;
2) printout of the receipt to be given to the patient;
3) LIS / HIS Repository.
The results consist of:
Semi-quantitative value expressed in COI (cut-off index), positive if COI> 1.0, negative if COI <1.0
The receipt shows the following information: date and time of the test, patient identification (ID),
operator identification, patient biographic, sample type, serial instrument serial number, reagent lot.
The combination of semi-quantitative reading and the connectivity features of the AFIAS Analysers,
permits a quick identification of the infected patients who will have to undergo molecular testing for a final confirmation.
